Which personal data is gathered and processed
We treat personal data as a business secret and confidential information. The User's identity is not forwarded to third parties and remains confidential except in the case of legal obligation or with the explicit consent of the user. Personal data gathered include name and surname, gender, citizenship, email address, postal address, phone number and cell phone number, credit or debit card information, guest preferences (type of accommodation unit, additional wishes and notes) and other data (for example business address and telephone number) should the user decide to share it. For the security of employees and service users, we use video surveillance in all public areas of the Tamaris Hotel.
Methods of collection and purpose of data processing
The Hotel Tamaris collects information during e-mail enquiries, online booking, and telephone or personal interactions with the user. We collect data from our users for the purpose of communication during the booking and stay, quality assurance in providing the requested service, to give an effective response to enquiries and requests, and offer the possibility of sending additional enquiries with regard to the users' stay. Video surveillance is used for security purposes only. The Tamaris Hotel does not process data automatically.
Storage and data processing limitation
Storage of personal data is limited to a minimum and is in accordance with legal regulations. The Tamaris Hotel processes its users’ personal data within the Republic of Croatia. Electronically stored data will be deleted except for the e-mail address provided with consent regarding the user’s remaining on our mailing list, while data stored on paper is destroyed by cutting. Exceptionally, other data on our trusted customers with their explicit consent can be saved for a period of two years to enable a highly personalised level of service. Automatic deletion of video registrations occurs every fourteen days by reregistering, whilst access to the video surveillance system is only allowed to authorised people. Records are analysed by authorised persons when there is a justified reason such as security threats or legal grounds.
The user has the right to request a review of his/her personal data. Upon request, we can update, correct and delete information. You can send your request by e-mail to email@example.com
